Feel the pride of Making It Possible.The Echocardiogram Sonographer shall be responsible for completing reports of echocardiogram examinations, including complete measurements and preliminary interpretations. Completing echocardiograms for outpatients and inpatients. The techs also support cases done in the Cath Labs for pre and post procedural imaging. They are also responsible for maintaining all Echo related equipment and assisting in gathering departmental quality metrics.Echo Tech - Per Diem- Radiology – FlexThis is a per diem position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital located at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester County, N.Y. This position will have variable start times based on operational needs and an on-call rotation. Preferred Criteria- Prior experience in an inpatient setting
- At least 1 year of experience
- Cardiovascular Ultrasound Program Graduate
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of hire (Registry Eligible at hire)
- BLS certification
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients, patient family members, physicians, and other health care providers.
- Analytical skills necessary to evaluate and perform diagnostic exams.
- Organizational skills necessary to plan and implement several procedures simultaneously and to coordinate work within the unit and department.
- Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
