Industrial Engineering Intern

Mission Statement:
  Improve manufacturing processes; Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes; Ensure the production of high quality products in a timely, cost effective manner; Assist, advise and solve manufacturing flow and capacity problems as they may occur; Lead/coordinate activities using team interaction to improve the Site’s performance indicators.

Position Description
Lead the following activities:

Lead / support Plant  improvement projects by : 

• Support Sites digitalization initiative: Implement electronic document control (eWS),  implement  Production key indicator tracking (MES)

• Performing labor cycle time studies and SAP routing development/tracking

• Lead / support the Site’s layout workshop  activities (creating 2D site layout proposals)

• Perform improvement workshop payback analysis 

Required education, skills & experience:

Education:

• Currently enrolled in or recently completing a Mechanical, MET BS program or related technical degree. 

Knowledge/Skills:

• Required skills: 2D computer-aided design (CAD), proficiency in MS office or Google applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint / Sheets, Doc, Slides)

• Preferred skills : Google App Script, C, C+, programming and  use of basic hand tools

What You Should Have

• You are working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other Engineer or technical degree

• You have the ability to work 30 hours per week during the school year
