About the role

We are now recruiting for Functional Specialist Auditors to join our team delivering the Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS) at Capita! <br/><br/>The successful candidates will play a key role within the business by quality checking (auditing) Assessment Reports written by Functional Specialists to the required standards.<br/><br/>Where required, they will also provide appropriate written audit feedback to support the Functional Specialists’ on-going learning and development. In addition to the quality checking processes, they may also support via telephony, virtual or face-to-face activities completing their own reports each month. <br/><br/>This is a remote home based role.<p></p><p></p><p><b>Job title:</b></p>Functional Specialist Auditor<p></p><p></p><p><b>Job Description:</b></p><div><p><b>What you'll be doing : </b></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Maintain</span><span><span> </span>a comprehensive and topical understanding of the prevailing PIPAG and Clinical Guidance from the Clinical Governance Team, pro-actively seeking clarity if<span> </span></span><span>required</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Quality check a specified volume of reports per day against the criteria </span></span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>To provide </span><span>constructive</span><span><span> </span>and impartial advice in the form of audit feedback to FS to enable them to amend and<span> </span></span><span>subsequently</span><span><span> </span>re-submit fit-for-purpose reports</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Provide constructive, impartial and supportive advice to FS</span><span>s</span><span><span> </span>who contact the telephone support lines</span></span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Maintain</span><span><span> </span>professional registration and Authority Approval and to act<span> </span></span><span>in accordance with</span><span><span> </span>the relevant UK Professional Code of Conduct,<span> </span></span><span>being accountable for your own practice and professional actions at all times</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>To undertake any other duties, as required by the Business<span> </span></span><span>commensurate</span><span><span> </span>with the role</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>To be clinically calibrated to the standards set by the<span> </span></span><span>Chief<span> </span></span><span>M</span><span>edical<span> </span></span><span>O</span><span>fficer</span><span><span> </span>and Clinical M</span><span>anagement</span><span><span> </span>Team</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div></div><div></div><h2><b>What we're looking for : </b></h2><div></div><div><div><p><b>Essential </b>:</p><p><span><span>An experienced UK registered Health Professional with a minimum of<span> </span></span><span>12 months’</span><span><span> </span>post-registration experience and current and unrestricted professional registration with any of the following bodies: GMC, NMC, HCPC</span></span></p><ul><li><p><span> A<span> minimum of<span> </span></span><span>16 months</span><span>’ experience as Functional Specialist with current DWP/DfC approval</span></span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>No restrictions pending or in progress to professional registration </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>To have an in-depth knowledge of the physiological, pathological,<span> </span></span><span>social</span><span><span> </span>and cultural issues which underpin the PIP assessment criteria and attention to detail</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p>​<span><span>To have demonstrable IT skills as the process involves using bespoke IT systems</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>To have demonstrable interpersonal skills including oral and written<span> </span></span><span>proficiency</span><span><span> </span>to enable the writing of succinct audit feedback and discussion records on CRM, listening carefully to<span> </span></span><span>others</span><span><span> </span>and ensuring dialogue is two-way recognising FS will have a range of experience and tenure</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><p></p><div><p><b>Desirable</b></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Experience of clinical effectiveness, quality assurance standards, feedback, peer review, audit<span> </span></span><span>methodology</span><span><span> </span>and, or impartial review</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>To have a working understanding of clinical governance</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>About HAAS</u></b></p><p>The Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS) arranges and carries out assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Communities (DfC).
