General Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer II with deep expertise in React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+) to join our agile development team. In this role, you will design, build, and configure scalable front-end solutions with minimal oversight, contributing to high-quality software delivery through strong testing practices and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate closely with designers and cross-functional teams to implement modular, accessible, and performant UI components.Experience with Azure DevOps, AWS front-end services, and component-driven development is essential. You’ll apply critical thinking to architect cloud-integrated solutions and may mentor junior engineers.
Familiarity with tools like Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright is expected, along with a solid grasp of HTML5, CSS3, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
Experience with Storybook, Webpack/Vite, and third-party API integration is a plus.
This is a hybrid role that requires a minimum of 2x per week in one of our locations: Atlanta, Chattanooga, or Portland ME
Job Specifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred, or equivalent relevant business experience
- 4+ years' experience with demonstrated success in software development or equivalent experience
- Clearly demonstrates analytical ability and critical thinking skills
- Takes a logical, analytical approach to problem solving and pays close attention to detail
- Experience with Agile Development Methodologies
- Self-motivated and results oriented

- Able to solve complex technical problems and drive system optimizations

Must Have
- Strong experience with React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience designing Software Architecture with Cloud Resources
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3
- Experience with Azure DevOps/CICD experience creating release pipelines
- Experience with component-driven development and modular UI architecture
- Familiarity with AWS front-end integration (e.g., S3, CloudFront, Lambda for front-end delivery)
- Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Strong unit and integration testing skills using tools like:
- Jest
- React Testing Library
- Playwright
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Ability to collaborate with designers (e.g., using Figma, LucidChart)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Storybook for UI component development
- Familiarity with Webpack or Vite for front-end build tooling
- Experience integrating third-party APIs
- Background in modernizing legacy front-end systems
- Experience in Financial Services or Healthcare domains
- Exposure to performance tuning and secure front-end development
