Position Overview Flexibility First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Williamsburg, Virginia. This full-time position emphasizes patient-centered care within a home care setting. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals regain mobility and enhance their overall performance through expert rehabilitation practices. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5000 square feet and is equipped with the latest technologies to facilitate optimal rehabilitation. Serving primarily patients with private medical insurance, our team consists of highly skilled professionals dedicated to delivering impactful, outcome-driven services. Work Environment This position is primarily onsite, where you will work directly with patients in their homes, delivering personalized care in a comfortable environment. You will be part of a small but supportive team, consisting of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), fostering a collaborative atmosphere that prioritizes patient well-being and professional growth. The regular work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for consistency and predictability in your daily routine. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their needs and establish personalized rehabilitation goals. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions. Administer hands-on therapies to improve patients' mobility, including manual therapy and exercise prescription. Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Provide education and support to patients and their families on exercises, self-management strategies, and lifestyle changes. Maintain accurate documentation of services, patient progress, and communication with healthcare team members using EMR software like WebPT. Engage in regular consultations with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care efforts for improved patient outcomes. Promote a healthy lifestyle by developing customized fitness and wellness programs that address individual patient needs. Strive for continuous professional development through ongoing education and training opportunities. Meet productivity benchmarks by managing a patient load effectively, ensuring quality care for each individual. Patient Population / Client Focus Our practice primarily serves patients with varying needs, particularly those covered by private medical insurance who require rehabilitation after orthopedic surgeries, injury recovery, or chronic pain management. By addressing individual patient goals, we aim to enhance their daily functionality and overall quality of life. Your role will directly impact each client's journey towards recovery. Qualifications Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program. Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia. Clean licensure history, free from board or disciplinary actions. Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and evidence-based practice methodologies. Experience in orthopedic outpatient settings preferred, demonstrating familiarity with a range of therapy modalities. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, for accurate patient documentation. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a home care setting or a strong desire to work in a flexible, patient-centered environment. Proven track record of developing effective treatment plans that produce favorable patient outcomes. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong ability to communicate empathetically with patients and their families.
