As a Armed Security Officer - Passenger Rail in Denver, CO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Must be willing to complete 3 weeks of consistent training and pass a background check as well as a drug test.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at government transportation locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, check credentials where required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders.
• Support public-facing operations by assisting riders, visitors, and staff with directions, information, and/or response during service disruptions or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
