The Senior Manager of Communications will help build a proactive strategic communications strategy across corporate, product and internal communications. The ideal candidate will have deep B2B communications experience and the ability to execute multi-channel strategies to a variety of stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Support development of a comprehensive communications roadmap that aligns to DIRTT business objectives, reinforces industry leadership, builds company reputation and engages the full organization.
- Propose and execute activities that enhance DIRTT’s corporate reputation, such as speaking engagements, thought leadership content, earned or paid media features and social media content.
- Develop compelling corporate and product storytelling angles and cultivate relationships with key industry trade media as well as business and local media. Monitor relevant media for reputation opportunities.
- Support strategy for CEO communications, primarily focused on LinkedIn presence, speaking engagements and thought leadership content. Write in an executive voice and recommend relevant/current industry content and topics to enhance executive profile.
- Collaborate with Talent and other teams as needed to help drive effective employee communications across multiple channels, focused both on corporate employees and factory employees. Devise strategies for increased engagement and help measure effectiveness.
- Support key DIRTT product launches, develop stakeholder messaging and communications around product innovations as needed, and work collaboratively with Product and Marketing to support positioning and message development.
- Work cross-functionally to translate complex product, manufacturing and technology messages into clever and impactful communications.
- Collaborate with communications and marketing teams at select partners to support awareness and adoption of DIRTT systems.
- Support team leader with crisis preparedness, including development of scenarios and messaging, and support crisis response as needed through message development, media relations and internal communications.
- Devise strategies and metrics for measuring the impact of communications activities for ongoing reporting and optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field.
- 10 years of experience in strategic communications with an emphasis on B2B communications.
- Proven track record of cultivating coverage across industry trade, business and top-tier media outlets.
- Exceptional writing skills with recent examples of executive-level content for various channels.
- Experience leading executive social media strategy.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work cross-functionally throughout an organization and with external partners.
- Experience with internal communications and employee engagement.
