This is a great opportunity to work with a dedicated team as we support worldwide customers who are maintaining and updating their geographic databases from multiple sources for accurate spatial analysis and multi-scale quality mapping.</p> <p>Come join the Conflation project team in Spatial Analysis and Geoprocessing to make a difference in the GIS community!&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with speeding up the research, development, and enhancements of conflation tools and workflows for ArcGIS Pro with state-of-the-art intelligence and techniques</li> <li>Build conflation tools using new or enhanced algorithms that allow users to reconcile differences and apply changes among multiple data sources efficiently</li> <li>Build and ship quality software by working effectively in a highly interactive and coordinated team environment</li> <li>Use pattern recognition, similarity analysis, statistical measures, and other computational geometry techniques in conflation processes to produce reliable results</li> <li>Participate in research and development of new ideas and approaches that match or exceed the existing quality</li> <li>Research and implement strategies and processes to ensure scalability for large data volume</li> <li>Explore the use of progressive or optimization approaches to improve conflation accuracy</li> <li>Explore on hybrid methods and tools for conflation with additional data sources, such as imagery, lidar, GPS</li> <li>Ultimately help build and deliver an integrated conflation management system</li> <li>Follow design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment techniques using C++</li> <li>Find, analyze, and fix bugs and performance problems whenever they occur in the software</li> <li>Contribute to and run tests to ensure high quality development free of regressions</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in C/C++/C# or related software development languages</li> <li>Firm understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and design patterns</li> <li>Experience with computational geometry and algorithms</li> <li>Ability to clearly analyze and describe problems, and propose solutions</li> <li>The ability and knowledge to solve complex spatial problems</li> <li>Knowledge
