Reporting to the Production Manager, the Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for handling the maintenance of all production equipment at the Lamit facility. Key responsibilities include overseeing the storeroom, work orders, planning and organizing tasks, and executing preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime. The role involves close collaboration with capital engineers and contractors to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. As the sole maintenance provider for the plant, the Maintenance Coordinator is expected to work overtime when unexpected downtime occurs to promptly address and correct errors.

What will you do?

  • Assembles, installs, dismantles, repairs, and reassembles mechanical equipment, as necessary.
  • Diagnoses and corrects mechanical malfunctions to maintain equipment in a state of operating effectiveness and to meet production requirements.
  • Works on mechanical equipment such as powered conveyors, CNC’s, industrial sanders, gang saw, dust collectors, pump systems, etc.
  • Executes predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance as scheduled.
  • Uses a variety of hand and portable power tools, along with shop equipment such as drill press, hack saw, grinder, lathe, and welder.
  • Requisitions and procures required materials for the storeroom.
  • Works from prints, sketches and other written or verbal instructions.

 

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED required
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance coordination or a related field in a manufacturing environment required.
