We need people with great computer skills, impartiality and strong functional assessment and time management skills.</p><p>It’s a challenging role and can be quite different from other healthcare professions, and that’s why we take your training and development seriously. You’ll begin with a 7-week, training programme (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) with time set aside for self-development learning.</p><p>We’ll be here to support you, with close mentorship provided as you work on your ongoing development. Everyone starts at £39,500 per annum (pro rata for part-time).   We offer a career pathway programme which can increase your salary up to £41,400 plus up to 10% performance incentive.</p><p>Overall, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your healthcare knowledge, and gain skills and experience which could open new doors for you in the future. Many of our clinical assessors go on to become Operations Managers, Clinical Trainers, Clinical Coaches and Quality Auditors.</p><p>If you’re looking for a change, including more regular working hours, a competitive salary and a host of other benefits, and are ready to expand your skills and experience, this could be the role for you.</p><p></p><p><b>What You’ll be doing :</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Meet face to face both physically and/or virtually and review available medical evidence from applicants to the scheme to determine the permanence of an applicants’ condition and their percentage disablement</p></li><li><p>Play a pro-active role in seeking insight and further medical evidence as required from GPs, other healthcare professionals or services to support the applicant’s TPDPS application</p></li><li><p>Gather relevant information, where applicable from the applicant and or representative, and analyse and interpret clinical information along with any other supporting evidence.</p></li><li><p>Compile a comprehensive report in a professional and concise manner, including a detailed history, a full justification and conclusion from evidence gathered to support the Victims’ Payments Board (VPB) in its decision-making.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What We’re Looking for :</b></p><ul><li><p>A fully registered medical practitioner such as a psychologist, registered nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist with a minimum of 2 years post registration experience</p></li><li><p>Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with the GMC/NMC/HCPC with a valid PIN</p></li><li><p>A valid full driving licence and access to a car</p></li><li><p>A demonstratable background in a Mental Health / Psychiatric speciality</p></li><li><p>Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations and keep to timescales</p></li><li><p>Ability to relate to people from a range of socio-economic backgrounds, races, religions and cultures</p></li><li><p>Report writing skills with an ability to deal with a high percentage of work using a laptop and IT systems</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical skills – familiar with MS Office, particularly Excel/Word and PowerPoint</p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>Successful candidates will be required to successfully complete government baseline personnel security standard vetting and a Counter Terrorist Check (CTC).  This is the recognised standard for the pre-employment screening of individuals with access to information related to the TPDPS.</span></p><p></p><p><b>This role is defined as regulated activity relating to children or vulnerable adults within the meaning of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. At vetting, you will undergo an enhanced criminality check which will show both spent and unspent convictions.</b></p><p></p><p><b>Your working hours:</b></p><p>Minimum contracted hours for this role is 30 hours per week and a maximum of 37.5 per week (full time). We’ll consider your work-life balance, as well as the needs of the business, to try and create a working pattern that benefits both of us. Working patterns can be between the hours of 8am and 8pm
