Summer 2025-Student-Event Services

As a member of the Event Services Summer Staff, you are a vital part of our summer events team. The team is responsible for providing quality customer service to our special event and residential conference guests throughout the summer. We will display Christ’s love to guests of both religious and non-religious backgrounds.

Regular tasks for our summer team include: preparing rooms for conference guest use including distributing linen packets, checking guests into their campus housing, providing hotel-type front desk assistance inside campus residence halls and overall supporting groups during their stay at Wheaton College.

Position Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

• Prepare residence halls and apartments to conference guest use. Reset rooms as conference groups come and go throughout the summer. In some cases, distributing linen packs to guest rooms in preparation for a group's arrival.
• Staff residence hall front desks and serve campus guests as the conference calendar requires.
• Check-in/check-out conference guests/groups on our housing software.
• Maintain accurate forms and records for guest registration and linen inventory.
• Perform various administrative tasks.
• Provide front desk/hospitality services, including giving directions and information to conference guests.
• Take initiative to ensure guest security and safety and assist with any emergency situations that may arise. Help when guests may become locked out of their rooms.
• Ability to drive Wheaton College campus mini vans around campus for various tasks is preferred if possible. (Campus certification required).
• Attend all training sessions and staff meetings.
• Knowledge of and compliance with Event Services and Wheaton College policies and procedures is also required.

Pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00 per hour depending on experience.
