Come share our passion for all things payroll! Elastic is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst for our Americas Payroll Team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and great teammate who's ready to take on new initiatives and innovations in U.S. payroll processing. As part of our growing organization, you will use your skills to actively plan and process payrolls, maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy. By being proactive in managing the payroll cycle schedule, you will be able to meet payroll deadlines and be proficient in audit and reconciliation with adherence to SOX compliance. Our team provides excellent internal payroll customer service by answering payroll related employee inquiries, delivering inter-departmental reporting, and working closely and collaboratively with HR and other cross-functional departments. This position reports to the Americas Payroll Manager.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Semi-Monthly U.S. multi-state payroll processing and off-cycles including daily stock runs
- Scheduling and maintenance of payroll processing calendars
- Ensuring accuracy and timely processing of all payrolls by managing schedule, volume and quality of processing.
- Payroll data administration
- Payroll audit and reconciliation to include maintenance of tools and templates
- Process a variety of documents in the employee life cycle: verification of employment, W-2s
- Respond to complex payroll related inquiries from employees and/or key stakeholders within stipulated timeline
- Manage Workday timekeeping for non-exempt employees
- Assist with internal or external audits, SOX and other related documentation (compliance)
- Other duties and special tasks or projects as needed
What You Bring Along:
- Workday payroll experience required. Ceridian tax management experience a bonus.
- Positive attitude, priority on being a good teammate, communicator, and collaborator; these are a must!
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience at a public company
- Prior experience in a multi-state, high volume, fast-paced payroll environment
- Solid understanding of current legislative requirements and regulations paired with a thorough understanding of payroll, tax, stock and benefits administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Self-motivated by opportunities to gain knowledge and improve processes
- Ability to balance multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers
- Strong attention to detail and discretion, able to work confidentially
- Ability to work independently and well under pressure. Exceptional work ethic, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to foster relationships with internal business partners
- Certified Payroll Profession (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a bonus
Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.
The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.
These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.
