Job Description Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Staff Product Manager to join our Software Technology Solutions R&D team based in San Diego or remotely with occasional travel.

In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for driving and leading a team of Product Managers and Product Owners who own the long-term vision, strategy and roadmap for our cloud-based software platform.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, aligning features with measurable outcomes that bring value to our customers. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams to understand clinical, legal, regulatory, and customer support requirements, ensuring product readiness and implementing a plan for regular releases.

The Sr Staff Product Manager for BD's next generation cloud software platform will play a very valuable role for the organization. The three primary responsibilities of the position will be 1) to lead a product team responsible for the core platform services; 2) collaborating with partners to understand customer and market requirements; 3) defining and documenting the vision for this software platform and how it can maximize the value to BD and our customers.   

 

To accomplish this, you will work with the product team to define and document product and feature requirements; work with beta customers to test and validate new releases; liaise with the customers to ensure that issues and defects are triaged, prioritized, and remediated; collaborate with other Product Managers to manage release coordination activities and partner for value delivery.

Key Responsibilities 

• Product Vision & Leadership: Provide strategic vision and direction to the product team and scrum team throughout the product lifecycle. 

• Product Definition: Develop crisp product and feature scope documents that can be used to drive product specifications and architecture, ensuring a clear understanding of product objectives and priorities for the product owner and development team.
