Basic Function

Responsible for executing daily orders for maintenance parts and service purchases needed to maintain the plant operations. This includes utilities, safety supplies, office supplies, packaging supplies, and janitorial supplies. This list is not all inclusive. This does not include raw materials for production.

Roles & Responsibilities

1) Ordering Parts and services for maintenance
    
•    Research, bid, and/or negotiate with suppliers on services and materials required.
•    Ordering all requested parts for maintenance. Tracking and ordering hardware and miscellaneous supplies as required, 
•    Contracts for services on site.
     -  Maintenance Department personnel.
2) Ordering parts and services for production
•    Research, bid, and/or negotiate with suppliers on services and materials required.
•    Ordering all requested parts and service for production. Tracking and ordering packaging and miscellaneous parts  as required.
•    Contracts for services on site.
     -  Grand Junction Plant Staff, all plant personnel, venders, APS sales group

3) Administrative Duties
•    Work with Accounts Payable on any invoicing/billing discrepancies.
•    Set up new venders in Ariba SLP
•    Get venders setup in our GAPS system.
•    Liaison between Railroad, and corporate, 
•    Daily use of SAP for transactions
•    Negotiate T&C pricing, lead times, and issue resolution etc. with suppliers
•    Complete end of month closing and SOX purchases.
•    Support, implement, assist, with management of change for strategic decisions made by corporate procurement.
      -  Accounts Payable, software, and venders.
4) Facility Support

•    Submit Utility Bills to plant manager to be processed.
•    Data Entry
•    Inventory Control
•    Go to post office and retrieve/distribute mail at GJO
•    Assist in all facility required permitting
•    Maintains Electrical and Software License
      -  Grand Junction Plant Staff, and Maintenance Manager

5) PPE Management
    •    Ordering/Managing Employee PPE and the continuous improvement of PPE used to keep our employees safe    
          -  Grand Junction Plant Staff and Safety Manager
 

Min. Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.

Work Experience: 
Thorough knowledge of procurement terminology and processes. This position requires a thorough knowledge of SAP system. Experience creating contracts and SOW (SAP Ariba).  Requires computer skills. Are familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, 

Skills:
Must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision able to influence colleagues at all levels, both within the site and the wider business organization. Must be relentless in driving results from self and others.

Safety: 
The incumbent participates in the Lyondellbasell commitment to the HSE policy and ISO14001 through an awareness of and adherence to Health, Safety and  Environmental programs, together with management of environmental aspects of plant performance and all HSE aspects of departmental performance.  The incumbent uses safe work practices, participates in safety meetings and advises his/her supervisor of any unsafe conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Ariba is preferred but not required.

2-3 years in an industrial environment is desirable.
