Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Software Director to lead critical infrastructure initiatives in Networking organization. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the design, delivery, and operational excellence of essential infrastructure components. You will lead a high-caliber team, ensuring the achievement of key objectives through exemplary leadership, talent development, and resource optimization. This position demands a seasoned professional who embodies OCI values and can navigate complex challenges to deliver exceptional outcomes.

As the Director in OCI, you will provide leadership to a dedicated team tasked with overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure projects within OCI. Your role will involve ensuring that the team's objectives are consistently aligned with the broader organizational goals, maintaining a strategic focus on long-term infrastructure stability and scalability. By fostering a high-performance culture, you will mentor and develop team members, creating an environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth. 

In addition to your leadership duties, you will play a pivotal role in talent development within the team. You will lead by example in identifying and nurturing talent, engaging in regular career development discussions, and offering strategic guidance to support the professional growth of each team member. Qualifications:

• A BS or MS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in people management, with a proven track record in managing large-scale critical service.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, resource management, and performance optimization within a technology-driven environment.
• Exceptional decision-making abilities, with experience influencing senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Strong background in recruiting, developing, and leading senior individual contributors (ICs) and building high-performing teams.
• Ability to make decisions that significantly impact the organization’s infrastructure, with potential implications for revenue and long-term operational success.
• Experience in Networking and Data Center Operations
• Experience in managing a large scale critical service in a Cloud computing
• Expertise in Distributed Systems, IoT, network monitoring and automation

As a Director of software engineering organization, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture. The mission of our Network Automation team is to provide tooling that allows our customers to design, build, scale, and operate OCI networks. Our customers want auto-remediation of incidents, touch less and automated operations such as upgrading 1000s of devices and pushing configuration changes safely, adding network capacity seamlessly. We help Oracle build the best-in-class Network Control Plane to meet our customer needs.
