The Commercial Operations team is responsible for safely running world-class operations for Cruise's fleets of autonomous vehicles. Our cross-functional team is composed of operators, engineers, business analysts, program managers, and safety leaders across multiple cities. From driving operating cost savings before our vehicles even hit the factory, to managing the complexities of daily AV operations in order to delight our customers - and everything in between -the Commercial Operations Organization oversees all operations needed to execute our technical and business objectives. We are looking for a Commercial Product Operations Manager - AV Capabilities with product operations, program management, systems engineering, consulting and/or rideshare/automotive experience. In this position, you will collaborate with Commercial Operations, Engineering, Market Development, Infrastructure and Product to set-up & launch new facilities and identify & implement critical autonomous vehicle (AV) capabilities required for scaling commercially.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on our av capability roadmap, ensuring we meet our operational targets

  • Lead cross-functional working groups to plan, design and implement new AV capabilities that will allow Cruise to expand our fleet size and geography

  • Routinely communicate roadmap progress to leadership and drive decision making on key trade offs

  • Coordinate AV Capability feature for geographically dispersed operating teams

  • Support with reviewing code changes as well as verification and validation 

  • Collaborate with Market Development, Product, Engineering, Infrastructure etc. to resolve facility and AV Capabilities issues after implementation

What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related field

  • 5+ years of professional work experience in technical program management, product operations or product management

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, complexity and operate independently

  • Experience communicating with executives

  • Effective collaboration abilities

  • Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets

Bonus points!

  • Prior experience in tech, rideshare, automotive, delivery, or management consulting

  • Systems Engineering background

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Experience leading teams

  • Experience with queries and software management

The salary range for this position is $125,900 - 185,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
