Job Description

The Ultrasound Tech-ULTRASOUND reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Under the general supervision of the Manager, produces images and/or diagnostic test of designated anatomical areas as requested in order to provide the Radiologists with diagnostic information, in a service excellence. 

This is a full-time, 80 hours per pay period, evening shift (1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.) with alternating weekends and holidays.

This position will assist with staffing needs at both sites:  Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Orland Park Palos Imaging.

Qualifications

Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Physics and RVT within 12 months of hire. Must be registered or registry eligible by in Abdomen, or OB/GYN.  If registry eligible, must obtain registry in Physics and one specialty within 12 months of hire.  If registered in Physics and one specialty, must obtain second specialty within six months of hire.  Must be CPR certified.
