JOB SUMMARY:
- This role is responsible for operating the automated warehouse systems and workflow to ensure efficient operations in a dynamic environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities:
- ANCRA System Management
- Manage ANCRA trailer inventory (full/empty) and daily yard count.
- Activate master trips in ANCRA automated door for product loading/unloading.
- Ensure unloaded trips match TTN and trailer numbers before activation.
- Monitor and manage inventory in ICS (WOV).
- Monitor product needs in the ANCRA outbounds and escalate to service and management before cut decisions.
- Send daily shift recap for ANCRA, highlighting key events.
- Update the ANCRA log tracker for outbounds and inbounds.
- Clear faults and fix spills on p-track; replace shrink wrap film and rethread when breaks occur.
- Review line-item summaries to check/change code dates for product flow.
- Perform audits on infeeds and outfeeds.
- Call out empties for door activation and manage trip progress.
- Escalate equipment issues to Maintenance and Management in a timely manner.
- Complete ANCRA yard walk at the start and mid-shift, recording empty trailer numbers and locations.
- Breaker Role
- Manage breaks and lunches for ANCRA team members.
- Provide additional support for ANCRA when needed.
- Complete daily checklists for ANCRA on the team’s page.
- Assist ANCRA operators with housekeeping and sanitation tasks.
- Yard management.
- General Operations & Maintenance
- Operate and troubleshoot ANCRA systems to optimize throughput, inventory, and reconciliation, including Squarer / Wrapper devices in auto and default operational modes.
- Use ICS and WCS to create and execute trips, monitor inventory, and manage product flow.
- Identify and resolve system-generated faults, audits, and technical troubleshooting.
- Perform fault recovery on the ANCRA system (load runners, Cisco/Eagle conveyors, trolleys, Squarer, and Wrapper).
- Manage product flow to active ANCRA trips in ICS.
- Solve daily operational issues by prioritizing and organizing workflow/scheduling.
- Take responsibility for receiving and distributing products and assisting with the inventory process when necessary.
- Verify pallets for inventory accuracy.
- Forklift and Trailer Operations
- Load and unload pallets and individual cases to/from trailers – manually if necessary.
- Inspect and understand all trailer types involved in daily operations and perform quality checks.
- Coordinate trailer/hostler communication and collaborate with other departments on warehouse operations.
- Cross-Functional Communication & Reporting
- Communicate cross-functionally with other departments as needed.
- Report any equipment, process, or procedure deficiencies or events that may lead to equipment failure, unsafe conditions, or environmental hazards.
- Participate in daily run-right venues (pre-shift handoff, hourly wall meetings, post-shift handoff).
- Input hourly shift comments and send out end-of-shift communication.
- Participate in required meetings and send daily shift recaps.
- Safety & Sanitation
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work area.
- Complete the critical care checklist each shift.
- Participate in Associated Safety Training (LOTO).
- Adhere to safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
education and/or experience:
- High school diploma
- Minimum one year experience working in an automated warehouse
- Minimum one year experience operating powered warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated commitment warehouse safety
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Knowledge of inventory management
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot common automated warehouse problems
- WCS or WES knowledge preferred

- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
