Senior Cloud Engineer

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based systems using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires a deep understanding of GCP services, infrastructure as code, and cloud security.  

 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

·        Plan and design the cloud infrastructure with GCP.  

·        Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules and applications, preferably using Terraform.  

·        Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability.  

·        Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the cloud infrastructure.  

·        Automate deployments and improve operational efficiency.  

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services.  

·        Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems using GCP Logging and Monitoring.  

·        Ensure cloud security and compliance with industry standards.  

 

 

Required Skills and Experience:  

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud operations or a related role.  

·        Extensive experience with GCP services, including IAM & Admin, VPC Network, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, and Billing.  

·        Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform.  

·        Experience with Google Maps, Google Analytics is a plus.  

·        Strong scripting skills in PowerShell (and/or Python), preferably PowerShell 

·        Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

·        Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.  

• This position does not require travel.
• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Certifications in GCP 

·        Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines is a plus.  

·        Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.  

·        Experience with Elastic (or OpenSearch) and Grafana 

·        Knowledge of ServiceNOW for change management and incident management.
