The role:
The occupants of this role will be required to work in either the role of Clinical Manager or Patient Flow Manager with two (2) employees employed on each after hours shift working collaboratively to identify potential areas of concern. i.e. unstable patients, poor skill mix, patients admitted to an area which is not their designated unit.
The After Hours Nurse Manager (Clinical Manager/Patient Flow Manager):
- Provides leadership, oversight, and management of the activities of the health service/facility after-hours.
- Supports the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles, within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating patient flow and management functions within the health service/facility.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, casual, shift-worker (fully rotational) position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately twelve (12) months.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary: $126,441 - $132,325 (pro-rata) per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Plus 25% Casual Loading - Equivalent of $79.66 to $83.38 per hour.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

- Relevant postgraduate qualifications
