General Responsibilities:
The Dental Practice Management Director is responsible, at the direction of the Chief Dental Officer Senior Dental Practice Director, & Chief Operating Officer (COO) for managing the daily operations and strategic direction of a more than one dental locations/programs (e.g. South County, West Warwick, Woonsocket, Community Dental Program, Providence Dental, Dental Workforce Development programming, etc.)
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Health-Related field, Business, or related managerial fields, and or 5+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of dental operations in a health center environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in health-Related field, Business, or related managerial fields
• Experience Managing in a Federally Qualified Health Center
• Project Management experience or training

Significant Job Functions:
• This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of our primary dental location and additionally managing ancillary dental sites or programs., including but not limited to Community Dental Programs, the Molar Express and or Dental Workforce Development programs.
• Works side by side with the Chief Dental Officer, Senior Dental Practice Director and Chief Operating Officer to set dental operations strategy, goals for increasing access to dental care, establishing and measuring quality indicators, managing dental budgets, and optimizing the efficacy dental program.
• Provides ongoing staff development, supervision, corrective action, and training as needed. Provides timely and meaningful employee evaluations and development of action plans for all supervised staff.
• Contributes to the professional growth of staff within their department
• Develops strategies that improve and enhance provider and staff recruiting, retention and satisfaction.
• Coordinates with Senior Dental Practice to ensure adequate staffing is in place for all dental roles.
• Identifies, develops, and deploys new oral health programs and initiatives with Senior Leadership support.
• Acts as backup to dental managers or ensures back up is in place for efficient and effective dental operations.
• Responsible for ensuring that patients are satisfied and engaged in dental care at Thundermist.
• Ensures and maintains efficient and effective patient flow.
• Develops and communicates clear and measurable goals that support strategic objectives, effectively communicates those goals to staff, and achieves those goals.
• Effectively troubleshoots all Dental office operational problems.
• Ensures accurate and maximized billing procedures.
• Represents Thundermist Dental Operations in the community including with but not limited to with potential partners and or funders.
• Other duties as assigned.
Physical Effort/ Environment:
• This is a hybrid position, allowing duties to be performed from home or at a Thundermist site.
• Able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Extensive computer use.
Work Schedule Demands:
• Full time position requiring regular business hours; some overtime and weekends may also be necessary.
Communication Skills:
• Exceptional written, verbal, analytical, organizational, problem-solving and presentation skills.
