Job Description Summary
Maximus is searching for a Data Policy Writer and Analyst to join a DoD client team in Arlington, VA. The candidate will provide subject matter expertise to the Chief Data Officer (CDO) Directorate and support to senior level leadership.The selected candidate must be able to provide strategic advice, counsel, and sound recommendations to support and defend policy decisions, synchronize investments, and drive actionable outcomes.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Assist, create, define, and evolve the “as-is” and “to-be” data architecture for the DoD SAP IT data services. • Provide a policy framework to determine how to grow new data assets and evaluate existing data assets.• Review written material within the Chief Data Office for editorial quality, consistency, and compliance with established style, format, and content.• Responsible for the design, development and implementation of the data policy documentation and documentation standards.• Organizes and prepares information and data for use in a wide variety of complex technical publications requiring in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject matter and similar fields.• Researches and organizes information from multiple sources and expresses technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers.• Provide policy solutions to support data architecture services and perform data architecture reviews, ensuring compliance of design and meta-data standards.Required Skills & Qualifications: • Active TS/SCI clearance.• Bachelor’s degree Required• 10+ years of experience working in support of DoD programs • 5+ years of experience in support of special access program (SAP)• 5+ years of DoD Information Technology Experience• 3+ years of supporting policy development and requirements generationDesired Skills & Qualifications: • Experience working with Special Access Programs.• Experience working at the OSD, Joint Staff or Service Staff level.• ML, AI, Python and R exposure• Data Ontologies experience Strong writing and communication skills to collaborate with senior Government and/or Military personnel.• Possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills om order to operate within the DoD environment.• Possess interpersonal skills and experience supporting decision making for senior DOD leadership.• Experience with JCIDS and PPBE processes.• Master’s degree.• Strong logical reasoning and critical thinking skills, including ability to pivot and respond to and integrate information from various sources.• Ability to absorb and synthesize information from various outlets and develop effective products for senior DoD leadership.• Experience using AWS and other cloud services.• Proficiency in structured, semi-structured and structured data sets.• Expertise in Data modeling, Data Warehousing, AI/ML/NLP, data profiling.• Mastery, knowledge of, & skill in applying new data technologies, data management processes, system analysis principles and techniques and process engineering concepts sufficient to recommend the most beneficial implementation approaches, assess the impact of new data management and IT policies and lead implementation activities.• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to master other computer applications quickly.• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic work environment and ability to coordinate and perform multiple assignments. #techjobs #clearance #SAPCIO
