Clinical Trainer & Development Specialist

The Clinical Trainer & Development Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the onboarding of new Clinical Operations team hires as well as other new employees. They are the subject matter expert on company policies regarding workflow and documentation standards. In this role you will be charged with ensuring adherence to current quality standards of the Clinical Operations Team through communication and collaboration with the Clinical Team.

This is an opportunity to leverage your clinical experience in a NEW way to educate and train other clinicians. You will need experience or the ability to learn various training methods, including coaching and mentorship type programs and the desire to creatively design engaging ways to train staff. This role reports directly to the Manager of Clinical Training and Development.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees and coordinates the orientation of all new clinicians as well as other new employees.
• Assists in the ongoing maintenance of the orientation process for new Clinical Operations Team hires.
• Works closely with clinical leadership to define standards and develop training methods to ensure they are achieved. Routinely communicates with the quality team to determine the ongoing training and development needs of Clinical Operations.
• Conduct remediation of under-performing clinicians.
• Maintains proficiency in all applications including but not limited to Well365, TASC, and WalkMe.
• Maintains proficiency in chart prepping activities.
• Use known education principles and remain current on new training methods and techniques.
• Design and prepare educational aids, manuals and training materials as needed.
• Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skill sets and Key Performance Indicators.
• Schedule and assigned duties are subject to change based on the needs of the program and the staff we serve.

Requirements

• Must be CRC certified or willing to take and pass the CRC exam within 3 months of accepting the position.

• Registered Nurse (RN) of 3 years with an active license.
• Willingness to learn technology related to training.
• Must possess engaging presentation skills and the ability to pivot delivery to reach different learning types across both large and small group dynamics.

• Must be able to create and own updates for content and be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel while learning other Development & Training content tools.
• Flexible, energetic, and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, non-structured and at times, fluctuating environment
• Strong time management and multitasking skills and the ability to work independently and within the construct of a team.
