The Microsoft Federal organization was established to address the unique mission, legal/regulatory requirements, and procurement rules and processes of the United States Government (USG). Microsoft Federal is committed to ensuring its resources – including appropriately qualified, experienced, and certified personnel (with necessary security clearances or otherwise) are available as needed to meet USG evolving needs. The Federal Growth team focuses on enterprise solutions revenue opportunities within the Federal ecosystem in the federal market. The United States Federal Marketing Leader works on marketing strategy development and contributes to the vision and strategy for the marketing team, writes marketing framing/vision memos and creates user stories, and communicates marketing strategy to internal and external customers. They also identify product release criteria, customer acquisition, usage, retention, and monetization strategies. The United States Federal Marketing Leader will uncover, assess, and prioritize current and future opportunities while working directly with the customer, internal organizations within Microsoft, the Federal government and the Microsoft Federal ecosystem. The United States Federal Marketing Leader of this  visible business should have  experience working with federal systems integrators and should be deeply familiar with the organizational makeup, core missions and strategies of these companies.

The United States Federal Marketing Leader will be responsible for really all things integrated marketing. Someone who can show  experience from driving demand and creating buying signals and driving that to revenue as well as helping support the sales team in a cohesive way. Also leveraging technological experimentation data and analytics to facilitate the execution of marketing strategies and prepares the team to capitalize on these marketing technology opportunities.

  • Drives cross-team collaboration with BG, CSU, ATU, Services and STU peers. 
  • Sets strategies for managers to enable managers to lead teams. 

Analysis of Customer and Market Signals 

  • Identifies customer needs and market opportunities for enhancements or development of value propositions and marketing strategies via analysis of listening systems, feedback channels, market and industry trends, competitive analyses, and industry-specific requirements.
