Job Description Summary:

Role will report to Scott Allen, Senior Director - ARTM

The Director of Alternate Routes to Market (ARTM) Operations will serve as a primary point of contact for Bottlers, Distributors, Customers and System stakeholders participating in the Alternate Route to Market Program within a defined set of Channels. The position will collaborate with their Route to Market counterparts (DSD, Digital, Strategy) and be responsible for building or expanding ARTM service models to deliver vertical and horizontal per cap growth across Channels. The position will be responsible for designing, developing and executing the long-range ARTM Channel plan across the broader internal and external System teams. This role will establish relationships and collaboration across all System functional groups and teams.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop the annual business plan and long-rage business plan within assigned Channel portfolio

  • Ownership of operational relationship and execution with third-party transaction partner (CCBSS): Order to Cash process, annual pricing routines, payment/reporting accuracy and auditing

  • End-to-end development of pilot programs within new Channels, from ideation to execution with a rapid scaling and long-term sustainability bias; steward results and key learnings to System Leaders

  • Assess current processes, technology and resources to determine what is needed for ARTM 3.0, 4.0 and beyond

  • Lead the formal Governance or System Alignment process to ensure Bottler alignment and execution – OnPremise Committee Distribution Sub-Committee Chair and Channel routines

  • Develop new tools & Training to ensure broad understanding of ARTM program across a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Focus Areas:

Strategic Thinking and Strategy Development:

  • Build and drive Coca-Cola strategic processes and plans

  • Partner in the development of annual ARTM Channel-specific business plan; execute System Route to Market strategy and opportunities

  • Identify opportunities to pull costs out of the System’s complex Supply/Value Chains to create greater stakeholder profitability and efficiency

  • Reinforce and steward the “Why ARTM” story System leadership; leverage ARTM’s competitive advantage to better enable Sales to gain share

System Knowledge:

  • Constantly seek to broaden reach in terms of System teams and resources to build/leverage a connected network

  • Seek diverse perspectives and import best practices from non-traditional sources to build unique and creative solutions to complex problems

  • Leverage knowledge to identify downstream effects of decisions – both in terms of future implications and non-obvious system impacts

Project Management:

  • Collaborate with cross functional departments (Bottlers, Sales, Channel Strategy and Development, RGM, etc) on complex, multi-faceted projects focused on creating incremental System Value

Relationship Management:

  • Develop solid working relationships with Bottlers, Zones, Supply Chain and CCBSS to influence the System collectively

  • Build strong team-oriented relationships with other key internal business units and/or global partners that result in new business and/or cross-category opportunities

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or other graduate degree a plus

Related Work Experience:

Minimum Required: 

  • 5+ Years in CPG Industry


Preferred Level:

  • 10+ Years in CPG Industry

  • Experience across multiple disciplines:  Supply Chain, Bottler Operations, Finance and Customer

Functional Skills:

  • Bottler economics and operational acumen

  • Advanced analytical capability specific to financial models and data reporting

  • Knowledge of NAOU supply chain models and operations

  • Planning experience – strategic thinking, forward looking, time cognizant

  • Drives organizational performance, efficiency, & effectiveness by translating analytics into actions and results

  • High technical skill and aptitude with computer software (Power BI, MS Office, Sharepoint, PowerAutomate)
