Description:

Oversee editorial content creation, manage the editorial calendar, coordinate article approval and publication of Halal Consumer Magazine, and collaborate with contributors and advertisers. Manage printing, and distribution, and engage with readers through announcements.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting standards in materials and resources for the Halal Consumer Magazine.

2. Maintain consistency in message and grammatical correctness by reviewing the work of others within the magazine.

3. Coordinate with organizational staff to establish formatting, styles, and content appropriateness for the magazine.

4. Incorporate editorial corrections into magazine content, ensuring branding consistency and professional standards are met.

5. Manage a database to track relevant topics and dates, utilizing it for resource identification and revision.

6. Assist in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders, reviewing, and editing reports as required.

7. Compose editorial content, event recaps, and articles for the magazine.

8. Develop and maintain the yearly editorial calendar for publication planning.

9. Coordinate article approval, editing, and publication processes with stakeholders.

10. Manage printing, mailing, and digital distribution of magazine content.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, journalism, education, or marketing
• Expertise and experience in editorial, article writing, media management, content creation, and strategic planning
• Proficiency in digital marketing campaigns and analytics tools
• Familiarity with halal and Islam is a plus
• Excellent verbal and communication skills, coupled with creativity, adaptability, and the ability to multitask effectively
• Experience in magazine design and management, event management, social diversity understanding, interpersonal, and networking skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
