As a Security Professional - Armed Retail Location in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail environment, where you will conduct regular patrols and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. As part of our trusted team, you will provide exceptional customer service and uphold our values of integrity, reliability, and teamwork. This role requires both an armed guard card and a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for both patrol and driving duties. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients and visitors within a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action based on circumstances and established protocols.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders as required during incidents or emergencies at the location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and daily activities using Allied Universal's reporting systems.
• Interact professionally and courteously with customers, employees, and visitors to promote a welcoming environment while upholding security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
