Summary of Job Duties:
The Executive Director of Workforce Development, reporting to the Office of the Provost, will lead workforce development initiatives in collaboration with Academic Affairs and other university administrators. Working closely with College Deans, the Director will cultivate community partnerships that support strategic development efforts. Responsibilities include overseeing extended education, career services, and K-12 career pathway programs. This role calls for a visionary leader to enhance the university's impact through innovative non-credit and credit programs designed for lifelong learners, professionals seeking skill advancement, and community enrichment.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
Master's degree OR a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in workforce development;
Five (5) or more years of connectivity experience with local, regional, or national business communities;
Five (5) or more years of success in securing grants, fostering industry partnerships, and developing innovative training programs;
Five (5) or more years of grant writing experience (writing sample required).
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Experience with online education platforms and stackable credentialing;
Proven record of work with apprenticeship and internship program options;
Experience in higher education.
