Sr. Accountant II

Our team provides, project management, test system engineering, service, support manufacturing and specification of solutions.
AVL TSI is looking to add to the finance team with a Sr. Accountant II to support the increasing needs within finance that are driven by the continued growth of the company. This role will have planning/forecasting, month end, and additional day-to-day responsibilities. Qualified individuals will have 3+ years experiance in finance; preferably including experience with SAP and international finance support. Additionally, experience working with Canada financials in any means will be beneficial to this position. Sr. Accountant II candidates must be proactive in addressing open items and accounting/business issues, with the ability to work independently. Strong communication and time management skills are required. The Sr. Accountant II will report directly to the TSI Sr. Controller and will have direct interfacing responsibilities with TSI leadership.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for TSI and TSI Canada accounting activities including budget and forecasts, financial reports, general ledger, audit, and tax activities.
- This role is also a support to additional management within Finance with regards to forecasting and controlling.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual plan and periodic forecasts (BS, IS, Cash Flow Projection Template, Cost Center and other supporting files and BPC reporting) including ongoing maintenance of these files.
- Complete monthly close process ensuring financials are complete and accurate (including analysis, reconciliation, posting journal entries, and review of G/L accounts).
- Prepare and review reporting of monthly figures (local management reporting and BPC).
- Perform variance analysis to prior year, latest forecast and plan.
- Preparation of weekly KPI's inclusive of working capital, past due accounts receivable, etc.
- Manage WIP and inventory processes, including standard product pricing, and labor / overhead rates.
- Assist with data preparation for audits including annual financial audit, 401(k) audit, and bank audit.
- Identify and implement process improvement in the daily accounting procedures.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Finance / Accounting or 4+ years accounting experience.

3-5+ years finance/accounting experience.

Project accounting experience a plus.

ERP experience a plus / SAP experience a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Ability to analyze and present information.

Mastery of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
