About the Role:
We have a current opening for a Packaging Supplier Auditor and are actively reviewing applications.
In this role as part of the North American Packaging Quality team, you will ensure that packaging suppliers meet Ferrero’s quality, safety, and compliance standards across North America.
Reporting to the Head of Packaging Quality North America, you will lead supplier audits, evaluate packaging processes, and partner with suppliers to strengthen packaging quality systems. This role plays a critical part in protecting product quality and supporting the successful implementation of packaging materials across Ferrero’s manufacturing network.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Chicago offices and also requires frequent travel (approximately 40% or more) to supplier sites across North America - primarily in the Midwest region of the USA.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct supplier audits of packaging manufacturers to verify compliance with Ferrero standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Assess supplier quality management systems, manufacturing processes, and packaging controls that impact product safety and performance.
- Lead audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up, including documentation and corrective action management.
- Partner with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) following audit findings.
- Evaluate the quality and compliance of new packaging materials and suppliers during approval and onboarding processes.
- Support root cause investigations and quality improvement initiatives related to packaging issues.
- Provide technical insight on packaging materials, packaging equipment, and manufacturing processes that influence product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Packaging Development, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality.
- Act as a professional representative of Ferrero when engaging with suppliers to build strong and collaborative partnerships.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Packaging, or related technical discipline) preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in packaging quality, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality environments.
- Experience conducting supplier or manufacturing audits, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up across multiple supplier sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Industry experience in food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or consumer packaged goods.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, packaging processes, and manufacturing environments that impact product quality and safety.
- Familiarity with packaging production equipment and supplier manufacturing operations.
- Experience managing audit documentation, compliance requirements, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Knowledge of GFSI-recognized standards (FSSC, BRCGS, SQF) and familiarity with FDA or CFIA regulations is preferred.
- Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and drive quality improvements with internal teams and suppliers.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent Ferrero professionally when working with suppliers across multiple locations.

The base salary range for this position is $ $94,896 - 126,528 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
