About Global Commercial Payments Platform – B2B Connect
We are working on multiple technology stacks and want to add a highly motivated Engineer to our Commercial Payments organization in Atlanta, GA. Visa's Commercial Payments organization is responsible for managing Visa's B2B Payment Global adoption on Cross-Border funds movement, innovation agenda and the management of strategic partnerships with critical financial institutions. This group is responsible for defining and building the Non-Card based payment innovation and product for Visa Inc. Globally.
Essential Functions
- Work on emerging technologies, building highly scalable, secure, reliable and fault tolerant distributed systems
- Work on designing, implementing, and maintaining Data pipelines, workflow and state machine management
- Work with big data, streaming, distributed messaging technologies to meet the functional/non-functional business requirements
- Build and maintain the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, loading and integration of data from a wide variety of data sources, both internal and external to Visa
- Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate, to ensure the quality of work delivered by self and teammates are in accordance with development standards
- Analyze input data elements across multiple sources and build data lineage for the Asset Management System
- Building a core framework to manage various Asset category, analyze and select the best possible option for the network based on the market competitiveness
- Continuous improvement of test strategies for quality delivery of solutions through functional and non-functional testing types.
Flex Work Arrangement - Hybrid Position - This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both home and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office three days a week, Monday (Sunday in some countries where Sunday is the start of the week) and Wednesdays. Wednesdays are designated as in-office collaboration days. The third day in the office will be decided based on team needs and determined in partnership with senior leadership.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:• 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 0-2 year of
work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters) in Computer
Science, Computer Engineering or related field (e.g. Masters)
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 1
years of work experience with a Masters Degree.
• Must-have - Strong CS fundamentals involving Data Structures, Algorithms,
Object-oriented Programming, Operating Systems, DBMS
• Hands-on experience with Test Driven Development and building automation
tests for complex applications
• Understanding of data integration patterns, frameworks and concepts is a
plus
• Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GIT, Octopus Deploy, Artifactory
and Maven
• Knowledge of agile processes involving Scrum teams and usage of process
tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Zephyr a plus
• Expertise in at least two of the following general purpose programming
languages: Java/Go/Scala/Python/JavaScript
• Experience working with multiple database models such as Relational DBMS,
Document, Columnar and Key-Value data stores
• Experience working with Stream processing Systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming,
Kafka Streams etc.
• Experience working with big data and messaging platforms: Kafka, Flink,
Spark, Hadoop, RabbitMQ
