Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is looking for a motivated and dynamic Junior Scrum Master to join our Minotaur software development team. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact, foster innovation, and drive project efficiency.

 

This is a hybrid role based in our Hanover, MD office.

Essential Job Responsibilities

As a Junior Scrum Master, you will be a key leader in helping our team thrive. You'll work closely with team members and the product owner to ensure project goals are met on time. Your responsibilities will include:

 

• Facilitating Scrum Ceremonies: You'll lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring the team stays on track and works together effectively.

• Improving Processes: You'll help the team identify and remove obstacles, continually looking for ways to improve workflows and overall performance.

• Promoting an Agile Mindset: You'll coach and mentor the team on agile principles, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

• Building Strong Relationships: You will collaborate with stakeholders to make sure everyone is aligned with project goals, while also providing guidance and support to team members.

• Monitoring Progress: You'll help track and report on team performance, ensuring transparency and open communication.

Minimum Qualifications

• 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
• Strong interest to obtain a relevant Scrum certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).
• Familiarity with Jira.
• A strong understanding of servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, and empowerment.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Requirements

• Knowledge of various Scrum techniques (e.g., burndown charts, retrospective formats, bug handling). 

• Achieved relevant Scrum certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP). 

• An active Secret security clearance.
