Job Description:

Job Summary
The ATG Robotics Technical Fellow assists with building and developing functioning robotic solutions to meet the business needs of UPS. He/She helps to develop customized solutions and the requirements for a robotic work cell to function in an optimal manner and standardizes systems by developing guidelines around components used throughout the UPS network.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing the long term strategy of internally developed robotic systems.
  • Determine the safety and reliability of support models.
  • Consider the overall impact of created solutions.
  • This position may interact with external contractors and others in the department.
  • Help develop Digital Twin models to test products virtually.
  • Create prototypes to test different concepts for application in various job setups and environments.

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will have experience in:

  • Robotics
  • Machine Vision
  • Programming: C, C++. Java,
  • Microcontrollers,
  • IOT Technology
  • Path Planning

Preferred experience with:

  • GenAI
  • Multimodal Models
  • Digital Twin Models


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent
  • Master's Degree or PhD in Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline (currently pursuing or recently graduated within the past 24 months)
  • Ability to work in-person in Atlanta on a hybrid basis (3 days/week in office)
  • 1-3 years work experience or equivalent research assistantship - Preferred
