Position Overview

Digi Security Systems is seeking a Seasonal Warehouse Worker to assist in our Dallas office from May - September 1. The Warehouse Assistant will assist Dallas's Inventory Coordinator in receiving, organizing, and kitting equipment for jobs, as well as maintaining the inventory count for our internal warehouse. Digi would prefer a candidate that has at least 6 months to 1 years of experience in receiving/picking orders, and s/he must have exceptional work ethic and enthusiasm to assist others. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working for a company in commercial construction, low-voltage, or electrical industries.

Our warehouse is located in Dallas and the starting pay for this role ranges from $18 + /hour depending on level of experience. The Warehouse Worker is expected to commute to this location in Richardson every day.

Job Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Kit and prepare items for projects and service calls. Participate in regular inventory checks and internal audits.
• Distribution: Distribute PPE, hardware and software licenses to technicians and partners. 
• Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse team to optimize storage space and maintain an organized warehouse environment. 
• Technology Utilization: Utilize inventory management software and tools to maintain accurate records.

Key Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• A detail-oriented, well-organized, calm nature
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, working under stressful conditions
• Adept at using computer software and typing skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Flexibility with work schedule for weekends and nights on an as-needed basis.
• Forklift certification is desirable.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work from ladders or man lifts at extended heights.
• Must be comfortable standing and walking for long periods of time and lifting boxes of various weights.
• Must be able to use a computer with reasonable accommodations.
• Must have a current, valid driver's license in the state of which you are applying and have the ability to meet our company driving standards.
