We are recruiting for part-time, game night staff for the Orlando Magic, Osceola Magic, and Orlando Solar Bears. What our Part-Time hiring process is like:
While every position is different, our part-time hiring process is typically a two-step process, sometimes more depending on the nature of the role. After you apply, your resume will be reviewed by our hiring manager for that particular role. Those candidates who are selected to move forward will be contacted for onsite interviews.
After interviews have been conducted, candidates whom the hiring manager selected will be contacted by our Talent Acquisition team. Candidates who are not selected to move forward will be contacted via email. We would love to call 100% of the candidates, however we typically interview well over 250 candidates during this part-time hiring week, and we want to give every candidate the decision as soon as possible.
A quick summary about the Part-Time Community Engagement Representative role:
This role will focus on community marketing events while communicating marketing messages, distributing promotional materials, and coordinating on-site logistics for setup.
What the position will be responsible for:
Community Event Activation

- Represent the Magic with an enthusiastic, outgoing, energetic and positive attitude while working numerous events, such as local festivals, watch parties and other appearances, throughout Central Florida.
- Increase awareness, interest and community support for the Magic through the distribution of promotional materials, giveaways and activities at local
- Collect data for potential ticket sales leads.
- Responsible for setup, management, and breakdown of all interactive elements at community events, including tents, tables, etc.
- Drive and transport mobile marketing vehicle to various events in Central Florida. Make sure the vehicles are fully stocked with necessary items for event and unloaded at the conclusion of the event, ensuring the vehicles are kept clean at all times.
- Operate and maintain promotional equipment including but not limited to, mobile promotional vehicles, inflatables and other set-up elements.
- Support our youth team by working the in-arena youth kiosk during select home games with responsibilities of promoting youth initiatives and running an interactive game.
- Support the youth team at community clinics throughout Central Florida. Responsibilities include, but not limited to running registration, distributing t-shirts, distributing giveaways, and engaging with the youth during the clinics.
- Understand the purpose of each event and execute with professionalism and legendary customer service.
- Passionate about the Magic brand and knowledgeable about marketing initiatives, promotions and ticket packages.
General Responsibilities
- Positively represent and serve as an ambassador for the Orlando Magic brand always
- Represent the Orlando Magic well to our customers by being polite and hard working
- Provide excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

What the Part Time Fan Community Engagement Representative needs to have:
- High School graduate or equivalent experience
- Must have valid driver’s license
- General knowledge of basketball and the Orlando Magic preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and other related computer skills required
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills
- Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative
