Position: Food Server (Flex/Seasonal: various hours throughout golf season)
Hourly: $11 + Tips, shift and weekend differential, if applicable
Location: Pine Hills Golf & Supper Club
Reports to: Sous Chef/Pine Hills Golf Course Manager
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Guest Service: Provide prompt, courteous service, including taking and filling food and drink orders and bussing tables.
- Professional Interaction: Greet and treat guests with respect and professionalism.
- Order Management: Take food and beverage orders in a timely manner.
- Menu Knowledge: Stay informed about daily menus and pricing.
- Specials Communication: Inform guests about food specials and portion sizes.
- Guest Monitoring: Anticipate and fulfill guest needs promptly.
- Billing: Accurately compute bills and manage payments.
- Cleanup Duties: Clear tables and assist with kitchen tasks as needed.
- Event Service: Serve various group sizes, including large events.
- Operational Support: Fill in as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Policy Adherence: Follow all established rules and regulations.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with diverse colleagues.
- Punctuality: Report to work reliably and on time.
- Issue Reporting: Address and report guest complaints to supervisors.
- Multitasking: Manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualifications & Education:
- Courteous Professional Attributes: We are looking for courteous, energetic, and reliable individuals who are committed to performing their duties in a professional manner.
- Background Check: Candidates must undergo a court records search and background review.
- Health Screenings: Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and health assessment is required.
- Flexible Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Experience: Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction, are necessary.
- Physical Capability: Candidates must be physically able to perform all tasks required for the position.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills are essential for effective interaction with customers and coworkers.
- Work History: A demonstrated ability to maintain a satisfactory working record in previous employment is preferred.
- Substance-Free Policy: Adherence to the Tribe’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy is mandatory during employment.
- Insurance Eligibility: Candidates must be eligible for coverage under the employer’s liability insurance.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred; it is required for those under 19 years of age.
Work Conditions:
- Hand Movements: Frequent hand movements, including grasping, holding, and dexterity, are required.
- Mobility: Constant walking and standing, with the ability to kneel, crouch, crawl, and bend as necessary.
- Lifting Capability: Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Reading and Writing: Occasional reading and writing tasks may be required.
- Work environment is smoke-free; noise and dust levels depend upon area.
