This salary range reflects our career framework. Your day-to-day challenges will include:</span></p><ul><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Research external eCommerce APIs, understand their value for our customers and build Python integrations with them </span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Work together with Product Managers and own feature or project implementation from initial design to production delivery</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Collaborate with team members in agile software development by actively contributing to code reviews, sprint planning and retrospectives</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Improve the reliability and robustness of our application</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Work with varying technologies, such as strictly typed Python (3.14), SQL, Postgres, GCS, mypy, asyncio, aiohttp, pytest, Sentry, Grafana, Redis and many more!</span></p></li></ul><h4><span style="color:#121317">Who are you?</span></h4><p><span style="color:#000000">You are an enthusiastic developer, a critical thinker, and an excellent collaborator. Besides the skills you currently have, an eager-to-learn mindset is just as important. You don’t shy away from taking ownership and responsibility for your projects.</span></p><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><p><span style="color:#000000">You also have:</span></p><ul><li><p><span style="color:#000000">A drive to build with Python, professional experience preferred. </span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Good understanding of HTTP and REST / GraphQL frameworks.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Familiarity with SQL and relational databases, as we use Postgres heavily.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Good working knowledge of Linux, Git, and the command-line.</span></p></li></ul><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><p><span style="color:#000000">You would stand out from the crowd if you had:</span></p><ul><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Experience with concurrent applications, because we do a lot of IO via asyncio!</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Having worked with distributed systems before</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">DevOps mentality: at Channable engineers complete the software development cycle themselves, bring their own code to production, and do so every day.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Experience with the LGTM stack from Grafana labs (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mirmir) as we use this for monitoring, alerting and visualization</span></p></li></ul><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><p><span style="color:#000000">Practical requirements:</span></p><ul><li><p><span style="color:#000000">EU citizenship or a valid work permit for the Netherlands; you are preferably already living in the Netherlands</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Available for at least 32 hours a week, with two days spent at the Utrecht office </span></p></li></ul><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><p><strong><span style="color:#000000">Important note:</span></strong><span style="color:#000000"> we understand that studies show women may only apply for roles when they feel they meet 100% of the requirements; therefore, we strongly encourage you to apply even if you don't check every box, as we are looking for passionate individuals with potential and a willingness to grow.</span></p><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p>
