The Professional Learning Facilitator, Bookworms K-5 Reading & Writing (Contractor) will deliver BetterLesson’s in-person Bookworms K-5 Reading & Writing curriculum workshops. This contract role will join a team of contractors who are successfully delivering in-person student-centered workshops on ELA.

Here are some things you can expect to accomplish in this role:

• You will meet with educators in group settings and support them to successfully implement the Bookworms K-5 Reading & Writing curriculum content.
• You will utilize your extensive knowledge of reading science and the methods outlined in the Bookworms K-5 Reading & Writing curriculum to assist educators in comprehending and effectively applying the curriculum in their classrooms.
• You will draw from pre-designed workshops and existing BetterLesson resources and supports (instructional strategies, facilitation guides, product experts, certification courses, classes, etc.) to deliver engaging and impactful professional learning experiences that support the adoption and implementation of the curriculum. 
• You will utilize your knowledge of the best practices in facilitation and student-centered pedagogy to build and refine educators' knowledge of the curriculum, support them to make informed decisions around student learning progress, and to build their own student-centered literacy skills.
• You will create safe, collaborative, and productive learning environments for educators to reflect on their practice and identify areas of growth. 

About You:

• You have 1+ years of experience with teaching, coaching, or leading the implementation of the Bookworms K-5 Reading & Writing curriculum.
• You have advanced experience in and knowledge of the Science of Reading.
• You have 1+ years of in-person workshop facilitation with high satisfaction ratings.
• Desire to travel in-person at least twice a month.
• You are passionate about supporting educators to successfully implement the Bookworms K-5 Reading & Writing curriculum.
• You are committed to supporting educators in creating learning environments that are diverse, inclusive, and equitable.

We Can Offer You:

• The opportunity to facilitate pre-designed in-person workshops on the Bookworms K-5 Reading & Writing curriculum to improve outcomes for teachers and students.
• Occasional opportunities to co-facilitate in-person workshops with other experienced educators.
• A contract to deliver in-person workshops with possible renewal and/or expansion the following contract year. 
• $800 per in-person workshop with travel, lodging, and meals reimbursed. 
• There is no guarantee of hours or the number of workshops available.
