Job Description
This is a Hybrid role requiring 2 days in office.
Exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead Western Digital's IT Business Continuity (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Program.
Reporting directly to the Director of Information Security Risk Management, you will lead IT BCP and DR while collaborating closely with the Enterprise BCP team to ensure the overall success of Western Digital's BCP program. This position requires a proactive and skilled individual with a strong understanding of IT business continuity planning, disaster recovery, and information security controls. Additionally, the role involves creating engaging online educational materials to promote security awareness and best practices across Western Digital’s global workforce.
As the IT resilience program leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's resilience against disruptions, maintaining security standards and processes, and driving security awareness program. Join us in shaping the future of Information Security at Western Digital.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
- Collaborate with enterprise BCP team to develop and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans for critical IT business functions.
- Conduct risk assessments, business impact analysis and improve IT BCP, ensuring documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and well-communicated to stakeholders.
- Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Providing expert guidance and work with enterprise BCP teams and IT to design and implement disaster recovery procedures and solutions for IT systems, infrastructure, and data.
- Conduct regular testing of DR plans, identify areas for enhancement, and assist in the prompt recovery and restoration of business operations in the event of a major disruption.
- Security Awareness Program
- Design and deliver educational programs to increase employee awareness of security risks and best practices, including engaging online training materials covering information security, data protection, and relevant topics.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training initiatives and make improvements based on feedback and metrics.
- Security Standards and Processes
- Develop, implement, and maintain security standards, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor security controls and processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to address security vulnerabilities and incidents as they arise.
- Reporting and Communication
- Prepare regular reports and updates on BCP, DR, and security initiatives for presentation to Information Security leadership and other stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with various teams and departments to disseminate security-related information and foster a culture of security awareness.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in BCP, DR, and other information security domains.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance the organization's security posture.
Qualifications
REUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred
