Job Description
As a Security Guard - Commercial Site - Full Time in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.
As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will engage with tenants and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to situations as needed. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for conducting patrols using a company vehicle. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with property management, tenants, and visitors as needed.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining awareness of the location's security-related requirements.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
