Job Summary:

Ascot US is seeking a motivated Vice President, Enterprise Architecture and Technical Services leader to define, maintain, and evolve the enterprise's architecture to support all US business units and IT domains. This critical role will be responsible for maintaining a 3-year outlook roadmap, and working across all application, infrastructure and cyber security areas, as well as extensively working with the business on their strategic needs.  The candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the enterprise's future landscape, enabling innovation, operational excellence, and competitive differentiation.

This role will report to the US Chief Information Officer as part of the leadership team and will work in one of the Ascot offices with a hybrid work schedule.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization’s business objectives and market trends. Act as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team on technology trends and architecture innovations.
  • Establish and lead the enterprise architecture governance framework, ensuring that architectural standards, principles, and practices are consistently applied across the organization.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of a technology roadmap that supports digital transformation initiatives, cost efficiency, and organizational agility.
  • Partner with business leaders, IT teams, and external stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment in delivering seamless, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization. Facilitate the adoption of innovative solutions that drive business value.
  • Build and lead a high-performing architecture and technical services team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that the enterprise architecture minimizes risks related to cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and system reliability.
  • Create comprehensive documentation of current and target-state architectures and effectively communicate these to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

  • At least 15 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 8 years in enterprise architecture leadership roles.  
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale architectural transformations in P&C Insurance is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud computing, digital transformation, and emerging technologies such as Gen AI.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to align IT initiatives with business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable working and collaborating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required or equivalent years of experience.
