The Impact of a Senior Director, Global Payroll:
As the Global Payroll Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll operations across multiple countries and regions. Your primary objective will be to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing for our global workforce. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including HR, Finance, Legal, and Tax teams, as well as external payroll vendors, to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing payroll operations as well as rationalizing and optimizing tools and processes. Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and support team members will help ensure that you are successful in this role.

What you will do:

• Standardization and optimization of global payroll policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance across all locations
• Manage payroll operations for multiple countries, including payroll processing, tax calculations, and compliance with local regulations
• Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and Tax teams to address payroll-related issues, resolve discrepancies, and ensure data accuracy
• Stay informed about changes in payroll laws, regulations, and industry trends, and proactively update internal stakeholders on potential impacts
• Evaluate and select external payroll vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor relationships to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness
• Implement payroll systems and technologies to automate processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data security
• Implement key metrics to measure the effectiveness and success of the payroll operations
• Foster an environment that supports individual and team growth with continued development and best in class processes

What you will bring to Coupa:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in global payroll management, preferably in a multinational organization
• In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in multiple countries and regions
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proven track record of implementing process improvements, driving operational efficiencies, and managing payroll projects from inception to completion
• Travel required as needed.
