Scope of the Role

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor oversees daily operations of the billing and credit management functions within the Order-to-Cash (O2C) process for CooperCompanies’ North America entities in a Global Business Services (GBS) environment. This role ensures timely and accurate invoicing, credit approvals, and compliance with company policies and SOX requirements. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Supervisor provides leadership to a team of AR specialists, monitors performance metrics, and supports process improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.

Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for managing the operational execution of AR activities, including billing accuracy, credit risk monitoring, and month-end close support. This position enforces internal controls, assists with audits, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with GBS principles. Success requires strong organizational skills, leadership ability, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

• Team Supervision: Supervise, and mentor, AR specialists, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Billing Accuracy: Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and credit memo processing.

• Credit Risk Monitoring: Review credit applications and monitor customer credit exposure; escalate high-risk accounts.

• Month-End Close: Support reconciliations and reporting for billing and credit activities; ensure deadlines are met.

• Reporting & KPIs: Monitor billing accuracy and credit risk metrics; provide insights to the AR Manager.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve efficiency within the billing and credit processes, leveraging GBS best practices.

• Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the AR Manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Business-related field (or equivalent experience preferred).

• Minimum 3 years of AR/billing/credit experience.

• 1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience (preferred).

• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics preferred).

• Understanding of O2C processes and best practices within a GBS environment.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $51,353.00 and $73,361.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments.  The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.  This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
