Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Radiation Oncology

Mayo Clinic Arizona is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary Radiation Oncology team. This advanced practice provider will deliver comprehensive care to both adult and pediatric patients, working in close collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals across the continuum of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.
- Provide patient and family education, counseling, and support.
- Monitor therapeutic interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
- Perform minor procedures as permitted by Arizona regulatory guidelines (PA-specific).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and educational activities.
- Demonstrate leadership through committee involvement and professional development.
- Engage in community outreach and professional organizations.

Family Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications:
- Prefer applicants with a Radiation Oncology, Hematology/Oncology background as either an RN or NP/PA
- Active BLS, ACLS and PALS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required
