Lake City Servicing, a division of Secured Investment Corp, is in search of a Payment Processing Specialist to join our Mortgage Loan Servicing department in our Coeur d'Alene headquarters location. This full-time position provides centralized operational and loan accounting support to monitor, analyze and service the loan portfolio. Job duties:
· Process loan payments and loan payoffs
· Perform analysis and loan accounting for interest calculations, exceptions, reversals, corrections, payoffs and other maintenance as required
· Provide data to accounting to allow for proper financial statement updates
· Make accurate accounting entries for loan fees and costs
· Provide assistance and excellent customer service to lenders, borrowers, and other departments
· Review exceptions, and grant entitlement to association’s online banking customers
· Prepare detailed and organized work papers to support daily work and reconciliations
· Participate in various projects as assigned, both within the department and in collaboration with other functional areas.
· Perform back-up functions to post closing and draws positions
· Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
Requirements
- Strong math skills; experience in finance or entry level accounting.
- Ability to follow internal control procedures to prevent fraud deficiencies, mishandling of funds and monetary transactions
- Strong written & verbal communication and attention to detail skills
- Provide professional customer service, and timely, sound solutions for internal/external requests
- Ability to problem solve through effective use of procedures and understanding of systems, reporting, internal controls and loan accounting
- Working knowledge of finance and accounting principles
