Position Summary:

The Golf Professional will oversee and manage the golf operation. The position will promote an exceptional "golf experience," and provide excellent services and programs to all patrons.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

• Assists golf professional in instructing and with merchandising, on-course, cart and personnel management responsibilities
• Maintains pro shop inventory control system
• Assists members by providing and interpreting policies, rules and regulations
• Conducts golf clinics
• Maintains handicap records
• Operates pro shop in absence of Golf Professional

Requirements

KEY COMPETENCIES:

1. Problem-Solving Abilities: Golf mechanics often encounter unique challenges when repairing or customizing clubs. The ability to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions is crucial for providing quality service to customers.
2. Attention to Detail: Precision and accuracy are paramount in golf club repair and customization. Paying close attention to details ensures that clubs are built to the exact specifications required by the golfer.
3. Customer Service Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills are important for interacting with customers. Understanding their needs, providing recommendations, and delivering excellent service contribute to customer satisfaction and loyalty.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service.
• Familiarity with operating light equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and utility vehicles.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Constantly stand, walk, push, pull, lift grasp, bend and kneel; Frequently use arms and hands
• Manual dexterity for using facility equipment
• Clear vision and hearing to communicate effectively
• Capability to lift up and carry up to 20 pounds
• Depending on the season, there is a possibility of encountering cold temperatures, heat, humidity, rain, and cold temperatures.
