Full-Time Exempt-Salaried Position
Position Summary:
The Account Executive is responsible for driving business growth in offices with an estimated monthly value of $5,000 or greater by identifying, targeting, and securing profitable new opportunities in the Outreach and Hospital markets, while maintaining a positive attitude to inspire confidence and drive sales success.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct a minimum of 5 office or virtual visits per day, ensuring each interaction is accurately documented in the sales portal.
• Drive new business with large offices, including Primary Care, Women’s Health, and other Specialty Practices.
• Understand Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Rural Health Centers to develop a business strategy in this market.
• Understand the Hospital market and develop strategies to offer reference and specialty testing.
• Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business needs.
• Professionally present the CompuNet Value Proposition to large prospect accounts.
• Prepare and present professional proposals and RFP responses.
• Utilize pre-call planning, post-call planning, analyses, and consistent follow-up to deliver a strategic approach to drive new sales.
• Provide initial overall support and expertise to new accounts for 3 months.
• Effectively utilizes all available tools and resources—including data, target lists, the Marketing Department, laboratory support, and regional or national assets as needed—to drive results.
• Stay informed and maintain in-depth knowledge of the laboratory industry, including competitive developments that may affect the lab business.
• Utilizes resources of Pathology and other laboratory leaders when subject matter expert discussions are required.
• Ensure compliance with all company polices and government regulations.
• Promote and encourage continuous improvement activities across the organization.
• Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the organization by supporting CompuNet strategies, CompuNet’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or a related discipline is preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of proven success in sales, marketing, laboratory services, or managed care.
• Must have demonstrated financial acumen, customer relations, and business development skills in a position of progressively increasing responsibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for all levels of organizations – from C-suites, physicians, operations, and front-line employees.
• Ability to work with operations to provide the best outcome for our clients and our company.
• Sound reasoning ability and independent judgment.
• Solid PC skills including Microsoft Office and Contact Management tools.
• Ability to work within specified deadlines and timetables.
Physical and Safety Demands:
• Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record in good standing.
• Follow all company safety, ergonomic, and health policies.
• Comply with PPE requirements in laboratory and biohazard areas.
• Complete required safety training and health evaluations on time.
• Identify and address safety hazards; promotes safety awareness.
