Description
Illinois Bone & Joint is looking for a Full Time Physical Therapist to join our growing OrthoHealth program, a comprehensive wellness and weight loss program focusing on a healthy Metabolic system. You would be a part of a multidisciplinary team providing collaborative care addressing adult and pediatric obesity. In this role, you will work alongside dieticians, health coaches and physicians to provide a comprehensive care plan to optimize a patient’s metabolic health.

Essential Job Functions
- Exceptional patient care
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding of patients ability and function that will support a behavioral change in patients resistance to movement and exercise
- Familiarity with the NEAT philosophy for exercise training
- Develop group exercise programs for participants in the OrthoHealth Program
- Have an interest in evidence based education and exercise plans that can be tailored to fit patients individualized needs
- Interest in Nutrition, sleep and health coaching as they impact metabolic health
- Interprets physician orders, performs initial evaluations and establishes treatment plans and functional goals
- Responsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care
- Written documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines
- Determine appropriate discharge timeline and appropriate follow up
- Compliance with daily paperwork. PTs are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (initial evals, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP)
- Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices
- Maintains active state license by earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities
- Develops positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI

- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to document/record information
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well and communicate professionally with physicians, patients and staff in all levels of the organization
- Able to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
