Job description

Functional Title:                 Client Onboarding Manager

Corporate Title /Grade:     Assistant Vice President Level 1

Reports to:                        Regional Head of Client Onboarding

  

Outline of position

The primary responsibilities of this position are: 

  

1.     Acting as the key client contact throughout the client onboarding process to ensure seamless transition from Sales to BAU; 

2.     Act as a first point of contact for client issues relating to onboarding matters; 

3.     Coordinating client adoptions, account openings, review of fund offering documentation and legal agreements, internal system set ups, and project planning; 

4.     Project management and coordination of internal functions to onboard new clients (launches and conversions) including Service Delivery, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams; 

As part of the onboarding process, the candidate will be expected to provide regular status updates to new clients and internal parties. Weekly project calls should be held with stakeholders and project plans should be maintained to track progress. 

6.     Assist in the initial drafting and review of client service agreements; 

7.     Interacting with the Legal Department on template management and control; 

8.     Managing the internal review process across different product and service lines within the fund administration, depository and other product lines; 

9.     Provide day to day client onboarding advice across all Apex Group business lines to best meet their business needs and maintaining good working relationships through active communication, facilitation and teamwork. 

Support the wider onboarding team where required. Will report to the Regional Head of Client onboarding.

Required Skills

1.   An individual with a legal qualification to degree level; 

2.   A minimum of 3-5 years of experience within the investment funds industry; 

A good knowledge of funds industry, experience of different fund structures, domiciles and regulatory requirements is an advantage.

4.   Be comfortable/competent in dealing with fund structuring issues, legal terminology and fund services agreements;  

5.    Knowledge on Client KYC requirements is an advantage; 

6.   Be highly motivated and a self-starter with the ability to work semi-supervised supporting a fast-paced dynamic business; 

7.   Possess team spirit and enthusiasm with the capacity to build strong client relationships;
