Physical Therapist Assistant

Requirements

• Associate's degree or diploma from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of physical therapy techniques, assessments, and interventions
• Ability to assist with evaluations and the development of treatment plans
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Empathy and compassion towards patients
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in conducting evaluations and assessments of patients' physical abilities and needs
• Implement assigned components of treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Administer therapeutic exercises and techniques to improve patients' mobility, strength, and functional abilities
• Assist patients in using specialized equipment and modalities for rehabilitation
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide integrated patient care
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and their families on strategies for at-home care
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment

Guaranteed Hour: 40 Hours

Time Schedule: 8:00am- 04:30pm

Certificate Required: BLS Certification (AHA)
